Planet Dom – a festival that moves you

 The Multimedia Cultural Center is partnering with the Coalition of Youth Associations and the Youth Center Platform to bring you a four-day festival, supported by the City of Split.

This year’s “zero” edition was motivated by a set of circumstances, wishes and needs: to set forth a stronger program leap, and to bring more progressive and urban content into the city’s cultural pores; to show the relevance of the Youth Center (Dom mladih, Split), as well as the community that arose there in these past decades. As we approach the pivotal moment of the building’s reconstruction – a time when independent culture will transition out of its current home – we seek to galvanize our community. This marks a turning point for Split’s cultural scene, encouraging us all to open a new chapter and deepen our commitment to sustaining our collective spirit.

With this action, we are paving the way for future meetings in the microcosmos of urban culture, which include music and interdisciplinary performances, club nights, talks, screenings, art installations, workshops, and other forms and expressions of contemporary progressive culture.

Imagining the dispersion that awaits, the Planet Dom festival rises as the focal point that moves us.
