Dry Cleaning are a British art rock band formed by guitarist Tom Dowse, drummer Nick Buxton, and bassist Lewis Maynard, longtime friends and musical collaborators. At their invitation, Florence Shaw – a visual artist, picture researcher, and drawing lecturer – joined them, bringing her distinctive spoken word style. With clear influences from bands such as The Feelies, The Necessaries, The B-52’s, and Pylon, they create music that is simple and direct, stripped of anything superfluous.

To date, they have released two critically acclaimed albums on the esteemed label 4AD, both produced by John Parish, a longtime collaborator of PJ Harvey: New Long Leg (2021) and Stumpwork (2022). In 2024, they released the remastered reissue of their first two EPs, Boundary Road Snacks and Drinks / Sweet Princess (2024), which prompted the band to embark on an extensive US and European tour, now bringing them to Split as well.
